We recognize that we are jointly responsible with the Government, Members of the Industry and public to protect the environment of our own jurisdictions.
Objectives:
We will comply with the National Legislation on Environment as well as COSMO guidelines and ensure that we will not compromise, at any stage of our operations, the safety of people, product and the Environment.
We will continuously analyze and improve the environmental impact of our service and operations.
We will minimize the Environmental impact of our service and operations including:
Storing, handling and using chemicals/materials in a safe manner.
Maximizing energy efficiency of processes to minimize environmentally harmful emissions.
Curtailing dust & noise levels.
Reducing sound noise at a minimum level
Minimizing waste generation at source and exploring opportunities for re-use and recycling.
We will maintain effective procedures for prompt investigation & response to al environmental complaints/incidents and swiftly undertake actions to prevent recurrences.
We will co-operate and interact with national environmental authorities to promote environmental care and also strive to raise the environmental awareness of our associates.
We will ensure that our employees understand & comply with their environmental responsibilities through appropriate training and conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance.
Implementation:
Compliance with the commitment to this policy is the responsibility of every employee and related concerns working for Cosmo and also a condition of their employment or contract. They must ensure that all activities are conducted in a manner that is compatible with the objectives of this policy.
The overall responsibility for meeting the objectives of this Environmental policy rest with the Chief Executive Officer.
